Visit two farms at this Soil Health Field Day in Redwood County!

For three crop years, Minnesota Office for Soil Health and SFA have been collecting, analyzing and sharing on-farm soil health data across Minnesota to help us better interpret and use soil health measurements. This is the third of five field days planned to share research, discuss soil health practices and network.

Meet at U of M Southwest Research, 23669 130th St, Lamberton. Presenters include Brian Pfarr, Redwood County SWCD; Kent Solberg, SFA Senior Technical Advisor; Ann Marcelle Lewandowski, Minnesota Office For Soil Health; and Dr. Nic Jelinski, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Soil Water and Climate.

Tour the Pfarrs’ neighboring fields and then Grant and Dawn Breitkreutz’s Stoney Creek Farm, 38270 Kenwood Ave, Redwood Falls.

AGENDA

9 AM – Noon: Meet at Brian and Bill Pfarr’s farm (Lamberton).

Noon – 1:30 PM: Lunch. Boxed lunch provided.

1:30 – 4 PM: Meet at Grant & Dawn Breitkreutz’s Stoney Creek Farm (38270 Kenwood Ave Redwood Falls, MN 56283). The afternoon session will feature the Conservation Innovation Grant program research.
