It’s time to register your students for the 2024 Environmental Fair! This year the event is planned for September 24th and 25th, 2024.
We have a few notes to share with you about the 2024 Fair.
NEW TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL FAIR: The Environmental Fair has been in existence and offered to thousands of students since 1992. But if you are a first-timer, go to www.environmentalfair.org to learn more.
THE LOCATION: The Fair will be hosted at the Lyon County Fairgrounds, 504 Fairgrounds Road, Marshall MN.
REGISTRATION: Registration form attached. Please return to this email no later than APRIL 15. Be sure to indicate class size, arrival and departure times and preferred day.
WHO SHOULD REGISTER: We are asking each TEACHER/CLASSROOM to register. We hope this will give EVERY teacher the opportunity to review the information; receive the updates and reminders; and make the most of the Environmental Fair.
Please coordinate with your fellow teachers before completing registration so that all classes from your school select the same day, arrival & departure times. If you teach multiple classes, fill out a registration form for each class/group. Please try to keep the group sizes to under 25 students. Keep in mind, each class/group MUST have a teacher with them at the fair.
Our presenter stations are set up assuming we are presenting to a new group of students each year (many presentations are repeated year to year), a necessary part of hosting an event this size. Please keep this in mind when deciding to send only 6th grade students or both 5th & 6th grade students. It is impossible for us to guarantee your students will not see a duplicate presentation from a prior year if you choose to take the same group of students two years in a row; and your groups schedule cannot be rewritten once you arrive.
Please complete registration NO LATER THAN April 15, 2024. It takes months of planning to accommodate the large number of students that attend each year. Therefore, late registrations will NOT be accepted.
